Cabin Keeper

A.K.A Housekeeping Team

About This Role

Tops'l Farm is a farm retreat, event venue, and glamping campground on 83 acres in mid-coast Maine. We believe in the importance of stepping outside the hectic pace of day-to-day life and spending meaningful time in the woods with close friends and family.

We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented people to join our housekeeping team for the 2026 season. You will help ensure every cabin, glamping site, and event space is guest-ready and beautiful. Previous cleaning experience is a plus but not required—we are mostly looking for people who take pride in their work and bring a joyful attitude.

This is a self-driven role where you will often work independently in a peaceful, beautiful setting. If you enjoy creating order, notice the details others miss, and find satisfaction in spaces that feel cared for, this might be the perfect fit.

The Schedule

Our housekeeping rhythm follows the flow of events on the property:

• Sunday & Monday: After wedding guests check out, we reset the property so we can operate as an inn for midweek guests

• Wednesday & Thursday: We prepare all spaces for the next wedding group arriving Thursday or Friday

We are flexible on hours and can work with your availability. Whether you are looking for 20-25 hours per week or closer to full-time, we would love to talk.

What Makes This Role Special

• Work somewhere beautiful: Your workspace is 83 acres of woods, meadows, and historic Maine buildings—not a fluorescent-lit hotel hallway

• Predictable schedule: You will know your hours in advance. No random shift changes or chaotic scheduling

Supportive team: You will work alongside people who genuinely enjoy working together and care about doing good work

Your work matters: Every space you prepare contributes directly to meaningful guest experiences—from wedding weekends to intimate retreats

• Great for students: We can work with college schedules and are flexible on start and end dates

Responsibilities

• Clean and arrange cabins, houses, and glamping sites to Tops'l standards for guest arrival

• Clean and maintain event barn, yurt space, and bathhouse

• Manage laundry coordination (we send laundry out—you help with pickup, delivery, and restocking)

• Stock and maintain housekeeping inventory and guest amenities

• Report any property damages or maintenance needs to management

• Report lost and found items

Who You Are

Reliable: You show up when you say you will

• Detail-oriented: You notice the pillow that needs fluffing and the smudge on the mirror

• Self-motivated: You can work independently and take pride in doing things right

• Positive: You bring a joyful attitude and work well with others

•  Guest-focused: You understand that clean, cared-for spaces make all the difference

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members

• A keen eye for the guest experience

• Solid references

• Ability to lift 40 lbs

• Reliable transportation

•  Reports to: Director of Operations with support from Housekeeping Lead
