FAQ

Guest Information

  • The best way to contact us in advance of your reservation is via email – hello@topslfarm.com – we monitor this regularly and will get back to you ASAP.

If you would like to talk with someone our farm phone is checked during business hours: 207-832-1602

All bookings are done by either WeTravel or Airbnb if you need to search for specific reservation information.

  • Our farm is located at 364 & 365 Bremen Road Waldoboro Maine. Often when guests plug the address into GPS, it will navigate to a neighboring church/graveyard. We can assure you this is not our vibe! Our white farmhouse and event barn are both visible from the road with a Tops’l Farm sign at the top of the driveway.

  • The success of any trip is knowing what to pack! Please review our pack lists for more info about what we provide and what you should bring from home.

  • As want you to arrive and get to the relaxing part right away, check in at the farm is always done without the need for a formal in-person process. Unless otherwise determined, Check In is always at 3 pm.

You will receive an email a few weeks prior to arrival on how to get to your specific lodging spaces – so please be on the lookout for this.

If you ever have questions, please call/text us on our farm phone, noting that we do not have 24-hour concierge. So if you have a late arrival, there is a chance we may not be able to help if it is after hours.

Often for weekend stays, our event barn will be open as we prepare for the evening events – so please come, say hello, and ask questions as needed. Here to help.

  • Thank you for your help for a seamless check-out on the farm. Our team will begin cleaning the lodging at check out to get ready for our next guests and it is important we are able to do this on time.

Unless otherwise noted, all check outs must happen before noon on check out day. Our cleaning team will be there promptly at noon.

  • We love food! As there are so many varied experiences on the farm (private events, Tops’l Overnight events etc) the food experience can also vary. But here is what GENERALLY happens:

Airbnb Farmhouse/Farm Cottage/Cider House Guests: Food is not included in our Airbnb stays. If you would like to inquire about happenings on the farm during your stay, we are always happy to see if we can accommodate.

Private Events/Weddings: Please see the host of your event for specific details on meal plans for the stay. It varies from event-to-event. You are welcome to bring coolers with food/drink.

Petite Pause Retreats: All meals are included and are held in our Event Barn,

  • Farmhouse/Farm Cottage/Cider House Cooking: Each of the homes are equipped with most everything you would need to cook & enjoy meals. Grills included in each space, as well as charcoal.

Campground Cooking: Each cabin site has its own fire pit and fire grate. In our Camp Kitchen, there is a sink for dishes, potable water, etc. If you ordered food from Tops’l, you will be provided with anything required to cook that food (cast iron pans, etc). If you are bringing food from home, please bring everything you need to have that campfire cooking experience.

  • You are welcome to bring coolers/beverages to any of the lodging spaces. We do not allow outside beverages to our event spaces as per the Maine liquor laws. For most all Tops’l Farm events and private hosted events, we offer a lovely selection of craft cocktails, natural/bio dynamic wines, Maine craft beers (including our own Kolsch!) and delicious spirit free offerings.

Cash & credit cards accepted unless otherwise noted.

  • Most often our guests come to our farm for the fresh air, starry skies, and food experiences! A stay with us should absolutely include a hike to the Medomak River (look for the eagles nest after the footbridge!) and fireside chats with your friends/family. We do have three canoes on property that can be used at your own risk (life jackets & paddles located next to the canoes by our dock May-October). However, it is important to note that the Medomak River is a tidal river. This means that there is a small window each day where canoing will be fun – get the timing wrong and you will be hiking back through the mud with our canoe and it will be quite unpleasant. Please look at the tide chart and make plans. About two hours before & after high tide is the sweet spot.

Activities like yoga, archery/ax throwing, massages, foraging and the like may be something we can help setup privately for your group - just ask! Otherwise, our farm is the perfect place to unwind and connect with yourself and your loved ones.

  • We have compiled a list of favorite spots in the area for exploring during your stay. Do let us know what your favorites are.

  • We love our dogs. We love your dog! But unfortunately some negligent dog owners in the past have resulted in us having a fairly strict policy when it comes to animals.

    1. Campground. No dogs allowed in the campground cabins at any tme. A walk in the campground is fine - and no need to pick up after the dog if it does the business in the woods. If any poo is found in the walkways, in our mowed lawn areas after departure, this wil come out of the damage deposit.

      2. Farmhouse/Cottage/Cider House. 2 dogs maximum per location at any time.

      3. Pet Fee.There will be a $100 2 day pet fee for your well-behaved dog who knows they cannot be on the furniture.

      4. Crates & Supervision. Dogs should not be left uncrated in the homes alone. Please plan on crating the dog or leaving them in a bathroom with the door closed. Any damages resulting from the animals will be reported immediately with

  • Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside any of our buildings. This inludes vaping.

Any smoking outside needs to be done in designated smoking areas. If you are unsure, please ask.

Any labor involved with picking up butts on the ground will be charged at $100 per hour.
