About the menus

We approach our menus with intentionality and uncompromising quality, ensuring every dish is a true reflection of our place on the Maine coast. We pride ourselves on creating food that will effortlessly surprise and delight your guests through clear, vibrant flavors. By working exclusively with our community of local growers and fishermen, we thoughtfully select ingredients sourced directly from our farm and nearby waters, delivering a dining experience that feels both deeply familiar and utterly refined.

 
  • Accommodation & Planning

    We are committed to ensuring a delightful and safe dining experience for every guest. We readily accommodate requests for Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Vegetarian, and Vegan needs within our standard menu preparation.

    All other specific dietary restrictions (e.g., medical, religious, or complex preferences) require a detailed discussion with our Culinary Team early in the planning process.

    Timeline Requirement: To guarantee the safe execution of your menu, we require the following:

    • 45 Days Prior: Final count and list of all guest allergen and dietary requirements.

    • 30 Days Prior: A detailed seating chart noting the location of each guest with a specific dietary need for seamless service.

    2. Severe Allergy & Liability

    Your safety is our top priority. However, due to the nature of our kitchen and farm environment, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment and must utilize shared equipment.

    If any guest has a severe, life-threatening allergy (e.g., anaphylaxis to tree nuts, shellfish, or peanuts), please notify us immediately. There are rare instances where, to protect your guest's health and our liability, we may advise that we are unable to safely accommodate the severity of the allergy.

    We will work diligently with you to develop the safest possible plan, but clients must understand and assume the inherent risk associated with catering for severe allergies in an open commercial kitchen setting.

  • We love offering truly unique and beautiful events at our exclusive, off-the-grid Riverside Yurt. This location provides a magical setting, but requires significant dedicated logistics to ensure a safe, full-service event.

    In addition to the Riverside Yurt Location Fee of $1,500, all events at this site require a dedicated Event Production Fee. This fee covers the significantly increased staffing, specialized equipment hauling, and complex waste management required to deliver a polished, restaurant-like experience in an off-grid setting. The final Production Fee is determined by your guest count and chosen menu complexity.

    Weather Contingency & Safety:

    Your guests' safety and the well-being of our team are our top priorities. Should the weather forecast present safety concerns or logistical risks for the off-grid site, our team will make the final decision regarding "Plan B" no later than 12:00 PM (Noon) the day prior to your event. This firm timeline allows us to minimize setup costs and execute your alternate plan flawlessly.

  • The pricing for your catering package includes our house dinner rentals for up to 130 guests. This selection ensures a cohesive and elegant tablescape without the hassle of outside coordination.

    • House Dinnerware Options: Guests may choose between our beautiful wooden plates with coordinating silverware, or our classic white plates with black trim detail.

    • Serving Ware: Serving platters and utensils are also included.

    2. Required Rentals for Events Over 130 Guests

    If your final guest count exceeds 130 attendees, the client is required to supply additional rentals for the entire event to maintain operational clarity and consistency.

    • Dinner Service Requirement: You must bring in additional dinner plates, silverware, and serving ware to cover all guests above the 130-person capacity.

    • Mandatory Beverage Rental: For all events exceeding 130 guests, you are required to bring in ALL wine and water glasses for the entire guest count. This ensures our service staff can clearly differentiate between client rentals and house inventory, maintaining streamlined bar operations.

    3. Client-Supplied Rentals

    Should you wish to customize your event further, you are welcome to bring in your own rentals for events of any size. Please be aware that choosing this option requires the client to supply ALL dinnerware, silverware, and serving ware for the entire guest list to ensure complete table cohesion.

  • The food prices listed are based on our current costs and include our standard house dinner rentals for up to 130 guests (as detailed in our Rental Policy).

    Price Assurance: We are deeply committed to balancing our sustainable sourcing values with providing uncompromising value for our clients. In the current economic climate, ingredient and operating costs are subject to change.

    Our Commitment: Should any unavoidable market volatility require a substantial adjustment to your finalized pricing, we will initiate immediate, transparent communication.

    Your Assurance: We will work closely with you to determine the best possible outcome, finding strategic alternatives or adjustments to maintain both your budget and the quality of your event.

    Please Note: Published prices do NOT include the following essential elements of your service:

    Staffing & Labor: This is custom-quoted based on your guest count, menu complexity, and duration.

    Administrative Fee/Gratuity (20%): This covers the extensive planning, coordination, and team services for your event over a year long process.

    Maine State Tax (8%)

    A final, customized pricing proposal that incorporates all fees and services will be delivered to you during the drafting process of your catering menu.

  • Vendor Meals

    We are happy to provide comprehensive, high-quality meals for all of your contracted vendors (e.g., photographer, DJ, planner) who are expected to be on-site through the reception.

    Price & Service:

    • Vendor Meal Price: $45.00 per person

    • Menu: Meals will be specially prepared based on the ingredients of the primary menu being served that evening.

    • Allergies: All vendor allergies and dietary needs must be submitted along with the final guest list at the 45-day deadline. We cannot guarantee accommodation for submissions received after this date.

    • Note: Vendor meals are typically served during the main guest dinner service, allowing vendors to eat while guests are occupied.

    Children's Meals

    This section clearly defines the options and the value-add for the younger guests, ensuring a simplified operational process.

    To accommodate our younger guests (ages 3 to 12), we offer two straightforward options at a reduced rate.

    Price: $25.00 per child

    Menu Options (Choose One):

    1. Classic Kiddo Meal: A comforting option of pasta with a vegetarian red sauce and cheese.

    2. Junior Main: A smaller, child-appropriate portion of the evening's adult main course.

    Note: Children under the age of 3 are generally not charged unless they require one of the full meal options above.

  • We work closely with you to determine the ideal service style for your event, factoring in your specific logistics, final guest count, and event flow. Our guidance ensures the highest quality of food and seamless service delivery.

    Event Under 80 Guests (Full Flexibility)

    For events hosting under 80 guests, you have maximum flexibility for your reception dinner. We are pleased to offer:

    • Elevated Plated Service: For a refined, formal experience, plated salads and entrées are available.

    • Family Style Service: A communal, abundant experience designed for connection.

    • The Farmhouse Spread: Our gorgeously styled buffet experience (described below).

    Events Over 80 Guests (Operational Guarantee)

    To guarantee the uncompromising quality and timing of the meal service for larger groups, all events hosting over 80 guests are restricted to the following, with no exceptions:

    • Family Style Service: Large, beautifully composed platters of food are placed directly on guest tables for a generous, communal, and abundant dining experience.

    • The Farmhouse Spread: A meticulously styled buffet featuring multiple offerings on a gorgeously styled table. This format allows guests to effortlessly flow through a curated selection of our finest dishes, maximizing choice and minimizing wait times.

    This firm operational policy ensures we maintain our quality promise regardless of guest count.

    All prix-fix Simple Celebrations are priced with farm spread (buffet) service in mind.

  • If you choose to bring in a wedding cake or specialty dessert from an outside vendor, a fee of $2.00 per guest will be applied to your final bill.

    This fee is not a penalty; it ensures we maintain our high service standards. It covers the professional labor required to cut, plate, and serve the cake to all your guests, as well as the use and cleaning of all our necessary service ware (china plates, silver forks, etc) .

    As an alternative, please consider self serve dessert options! In this scenario, we are happy to lend our small dessert plates/silverware at no additional cost.

  • We do not offer private menu tastings. Instead, we invite all of our confirmed hosts to our exclusive, annual Seasonal Opener event held at the farm each April as the farm begins to come back to life after a winter hibernation!

    This evening is a highly anticipated event designed purely for hospitality and appreciation. It provides a unique opportunity for you to:

    • Taste Our Offerings: Sample a curated selection of our seasonal entrées, appetizers, and desserts, offering a representative experience of our culinary philosophy.

    • Meet the Team: Connect with your core culinary and event management team before your wedding season begins.

    • Share the Season's Excitement: Enjoy a wonderful evening meal on the farm as our way of expressing gratitude for entrusting your event to us.

    Menu Finalization Timeline:

    Please note that this April gathering is scheduled well after your final menu decisions are required, with choices submitted in accordance with your contract deadlines earlier in the planning process.

    The Seasonal Opener is a time to set aside logistics; it's our formal opportunity to celebrate you, the coming bounty of the Maine season, and the beautiful event we're creating together. You will receive an invite to this a bit later in the planning process. We hope you can make it!

  • We are deeply committed to operating a sustainable hospitality business that supports our local economy.
