Food & Beverage Director
Season 2026 · May–October · Waldoboro, Maine
We’re entering our 10th season and we’re looking for one key hire to complete the 2026 team: a Food & Beverage Director who thinks like an owner, leads from the floor, and cares about what this place is becoming — not just what’s on the schedule this Saturday.
You have the instincts of a founder but you’re not looking to start from scratch. You want to bring that energy to somewhere with a real foundation and genuine room to grow. The vision here is set. The opportunity is to help it become everything it’s capable of.
What You’ll Own
• Full FOH execution for 16 private events — 130+ guests, from cocktail hour through close
• Willingness to deep dive into our platforms and processes - Asana, LOGBOOK, and the systems that keep 16 events running without chaos
• Season readiness, training, final scheduling & communication, and managing the seasonal server and bar team
• Complete beverage inventory: purchasing, par levels, COGS tracking, vendor relationships
• Weekly labor cost monitoring with direct reporting to ownership
• Coordination with our culinary & event planning team on service flow and guest experience
• A genuine seat at the table in a small team that takes its work seriously
What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years in a senior FOH role — restaurant, boutique resort, or event venue
• Real team management: hired, trained, and held people accountable
• Comfort reading a beverage P&L and owning the numbers in it
• Someone who leads by doing — the most capable person in the room on a Saturday night
• An eye for what could be better and the initiative to bring it forward
• Calm under pressure, direct with people, proud of the rooms they run
Who Thrives Here
• You show up when you say you will, and you own it when something doesn’t go to plan
• You adapt quickly — hospitality is unpredictable, and you treat that as part of the work, not a disruption to it
• You treat everyone — guests, colleagues, vendors — with the same steady respect
• You’re a team player who understands that the floor wins together or loses together
• The guest experience is personal to you — not a metric, not a checklist
• You want to keep getting better at what you do, and you look for the lessons in every season
