THE BOX
FROM WALDOBORO MAINE
The farm, four times a year.
For ten seasons, people have come to our farm for rest and for each other. Whiskey by the fire. Supper at a long table. More stars than they've seen in years. Coffee on the porch before anyone else is up.
The box is a taste of all of it, for the weeks you can't get to Maine. From our kitchen, things for your own table. From our guest rooms, things to rest with. Every ingredient from a Maine farm we know by name.
Ships December 5 · Shipping included to the lower 48 · Limited each season
The Box
Grown across Maine. Made on Bremen Road.
I grew up on a farm in Montville, and I've bought from farmers like the ones I grew up with ever since. For a decade the Tops'l kitchen has cooked with what Maine farms grow, and the box works the same way: cranberries from Moody Mountain Farm in Lincolnville and milk from Bo Lait Organic Farm in Washington, Maine, two of more than twenty farms we buy from across the state. Their stories are told alongside ours. Scan any jar and you'll meet them. Every box pays them, too.
WHAT’S INSIDE
Saturday night to Sunday morning.
EAT · PRESERVE
A jam from the season's fruit. For the cheese board on Saturday night, and toast on Sunday morning.
EAT · SYRUP
A Simpler Syrup for the cocktail hour, or an infused maple for the pancakes the morning after.
REST · HANDS
Something for your hands, made for whatever the weather is doing outside.
REST · EVENING
Something for the last few minutes of the day.
REST · HOME
Something for the house, before anyone arrives.
The products change with the season. The shape of the box stays the same — something to eat, something to pour, something for your hands, something for evening, and one wildcard for the house.
